Influencia de la iluminación led azul y amarilla sobre el desempeño productivo de pollos broiler

Resumen

La iluminación artificial representa un factor ambiental crucial en sistemas de producción avícola intensiva para optimizar el rendimiento y regular los ciclos biológicos de las aves. El objetivo de este estudio fue evaluar el efecto comparativo de la iluminación LED de espectro azul frente al espectro amarillo sobre los parámetros zootécnicos de pollos de engorde (Cobb 500) durante un periodo experimental de 28 días. Se empleó un diseño completamente aleatorizado con dos tratamientos independientes de 30 pollos machos cada uno, bajo condiciones homogéneas de manejo, nutrición y un fotoperiodo nocturno de 12 horas. Las variables productivas evaluadas incluyeron la ganancia de peso semanal, el consumo de alimento, el índice de conversión alimenticia (ICA) y la tasa de mortalidad. Los resultados revelaron que la ganancia de peso no mostró diferencias estadísticas significativas durante las tres primeras semanas; no obstante, en la semana 4 el tratamiento con luz azul obtuvo una ganancia significativamente mayor (631±129g) en comparación con el grupo de luz amarilla (536 ± 198 g, p = .031). Adicionalmente, el ICA calculado específicamente para la semana 4 favoreció al lote bajo iluminación azul con un valor de 6.97 frente a 7.31 del espectro amarillo, registrándose una mortalidad nula en ambos grupos.Se concluye que el espectro lumínico azul actúa como un factor productivo de carácter acumulativo que optimiza la eficiencia alimenticia y el crecimiento hacia las etapas finales de crianza
